Meet Our Coaches

Amenda Pedregon | Director & Mental Performance Coach
I am dedicated to the psychological side of the individual and the game, focusing on identity, discipline, and emotional regulation under pressure. As a former high school athlete, I understand the unique demands placed upon student-athletes.
I have been coaching at the high school level since 2005, beginning with girls' volleyball in Texas before transitioning to the boys' game upon moving to Arizona. In 2023, I, along with my husband, founded Tormenta Volleyball Club to expand opportunities for male athletes. As owner and director, I model a culture of continuous growth. I regularly attend elite coaching clinics and collaborate with industry professionals to ensure Tormenta remains at the forefront of modern volleyball education.
"Our goal at Tormenta is simple: building better humans through volleyball everyday. Better Athletes. Better Leaders. Better Humans.” — Amenda Pedregon, Director
Adan Gonzalez | Performance Coach
Adan serves as our Lead Performance Coach, focusing on high-level results, explosive strength, and athletic conditioning. A graduate of Mountain Ridge High School, Adan went on to play at Baldwin Wallace University in 2020.
Though his collegiate time was impacted by a medical setback, his passion for the game remained the driving force in his career. Upon returning to Arizona, he immersed himself in the community as both a player and coach. He currently competes at a high level with Los Muertos as a Setter and Right Side hitter, bringing current, high-stakes court experience to every Tormenta session.
Xian Gonzalez | Development Coach
Xian is a lead Development Coach at Tormenta, specializing in foundational mechanics and technical growth. As an alumnus of Tormenta, Xian has a deep-rooted understanding of the club’s values and training standards.
He continued his competitive career at Long Beach City College, where he helped lead his team to a Conference Championship appearance during his freshman year. Xian excels at breaking down complex skills into manageable, technical steps, ensuring our developing athletes build a strong foundation for long-term success.
